You must be 18 years old. It is illegal in South Australia to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 (even with parental consent) with a penalty of $5,000 or 12 months imprisonment. A valid photo ID will need to be presented on the day of your appointment.

We do have a minimum of $180-$270 depending on the artist. Each tattoo is individually quoted based on design, size and placement. Larger designs that may take longer than 3 hours or multiple sitting will be charged by the hourly rate of $180-$270 depending on the artist.

Yes, we do require a deposit for all bookings. It will range from $100-$200. Deposits prices are depending on the size and quote of your tattoo and per person. See our Terms and Conditions for more information.

No. Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances. If you can’t make your scheduled appointment we require at least 3 business days notice by TXT or email (during studio hours) or you will forfeit the deposit. If you don’t show up to your appointment you forfeit your deposit. If you reschedule your appointment with more than 3 business days notice, we can move the deposit over to the new appointment time. Please give us as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule or cancel.

Please note we do not accept cancellations by Instagram/Facebook. Please call our studio during our business hours.

We accept cash or eftpos and can do split payments if needed.

We DO NOT tattoo pregnant/breastfeeding women, people under the age of 18 (even with parental consent) or anyone under the influence of drugs/alcohol.

We recommend you have some food before your appointment and stay hydrated, you may want to bring some snacks or a drink with you for longer sessions. Please bring photo ID to your appointment.

Having the tattoo area “hair-free” before the appointment would be appreciated.

A little! It’s never as bad as we imagine it to be and we will take good care of you.

Over-the-counter numbing cream can be applied to the area to help you through your tattoo. We recommend EMLA or Numb It cream which can be purchased at your local pharmacy. Apply cream liberally to the area which will be tattooed 1 hour before appointment and cover with cling wrap sticking down the edges with adhesive tape making sure all edges are sealed. Leave on and our artist will remove the cream during your appointment.

As we like our studio to have a calm relaxing feel for our clients and seating in our reception area is limited and is reserved for clients being tattooed we can only allow one +1 into the studio. All plus ones will have to remain in the reception area at all times and are prohibited from entering the tattoo rooms while clients are being tattooed.

If you have had a appointment recently by one of our artists at Day One Tattoo and require a touch up appointment please email us on hello@dayonetattoo.com.au and include a recent picture of the tattoo so we can see how much time we will need to complete the touch up. Touch ups are priced from $40.00, and must be requested within 2 months of the original tattoo was done.

Yes, we do. If the tattoo was done at another studio and you would like it to be finished/ touch up/ reworked please fill in a booking enquiry form and include photos of the current tattoo. We will then have a look to see the results you are wanting is possible that you walk away happy and loving your tattoo.

*Please note that because the tattoo was not originally done from our studio it will be quoted based on size, design, placement like a new tattoo submission and not at our touch up pricing.
